BBN auditions: Wannabes open up on dreams

Thousands of wannabes turned out for auditions into the continental reality TV show, Big Brother Naija, which held at different locations across the country last weekend. As the auditions got underway at D’ Podium International Events Centre, Ikeja, Lagos, last Friday, wannabes shared their experiences and dreams for the show.

A lady, who simply described herself as Sabina, said: “I feel very great. Big Brother is a beautiful platform for me to showcase what I’ve got. If I win the N45 million, I would first of all appreciate God for giving me the grace. Then, I’ll take care of the orphans and my family by establishing them. After that, I will start up a movie production business.”

For Michael Oluwafemi, another BBN hopeful: “I think the interviewers know what they want and I know I have all it takes to be selected. I want to be seen and heard using the BBN platform to achieve my aim. Uti (Nwachukwu) is one person that inspires me a lot, and he never had any strategy but maintained his cool during his time in the house, and he made it.”

Speaking, a wannabe, Fortune Ogah, stated: “I’ve always loved BBN and have been following it back-to-back, and I think it’s the best platform for me to showcase my talent. I’ve had lots of experience. In fact, this is my third time coming for BBN audition. I believe that I will be selected this time.”

Joan Ikpe, a University of Benin (UNIBEN) student, said she had all it takes to make it to the house and win: “I’m not intimidated by the 4,000 contestants here today; I’m not frightened. I’ve a business I’m running and if eventually I’m picked and win, I’ll use the money to open a charity home. I’m an event planner and a skin care therapist. I need this platform to actualise my dreams.”

Blessing Abosi, an indigene of Abia State, said: “I’m here to be myself. If I am taken and I win the money, I will use it to take care of my family and also the girl child.”

Tony Samson, a fervent Christian had this to say: “I feel great. I’ve been waiting for this. Nobody can change my standard or my moral values because nobody can put a gun to my head to do what I wouldn’t want to do. All I will do is be myself, maintain my Christian standards and values, and see where life takes me.”

And for Helen Chijioke, another wannabe housemate, it’s the money that has attracted her. “I am simply here for the money.”
