So many variants of this story. The same wife and the family are quoted as saying one officer commanded her husband to stop and they did and the officer commanded them to park properly on the side of the road. But when her husband moved the car to park, a second officer in front, not knowing what was said, shot the man, thinking he was about to drive off. Either way, this was at a minimum, negligence for being quick to pull the trigger. If he drove off, why was he shot in front, on the forehead, instead of the back or side (not that it matters, I am not condoning any shooting at all). An independent investigation is in order. While we cannot bring him back, law enforcement and security personnel in Nigeria must be held accountable.
