It depends on what the vice president meant by retaliation. Somebody has to be held responsible for the attack on Nigerians in South Africa. From this stance of the government, it is certainly consistent with the prevailing attitude of the government regarding daily loss of lives in the country. Life of an average Nigerian does not seem to amount to anything that the government should concern itself about. This xenophobic attacks on Nigerians is a reflection of how the South Africans see Nigeria as a country. Like saying that Nigeria is big for nothing. Your population is only good for our market outlet of goods and services in your country but not here in south Africa.
