The North West zonal leadership of Persons With Disabilities (PWD) wing of the All Progressive Congress (APC), has alleged that the lingering insecurity in the country is the handiwork of perceived enemies of government of President Muhammadu Buhari.

Addressing newsmen in Kaduna on Thursday, the zonal chairman of PWD, Hon. Muhammad Lawal Narogo who was a member of House of Representatives under People’s Redemption Party (PRP) during the Second Republic explained that the insecurity were being fueled to discredit Buhari’s government.

He noted that the present administration has done excellently well through the provisions of good governance to the teeming population of the country.

He said only APC as the political party in the country recognised importance of the PWD by putting them on a committee that is exclusively for them to work for the progress and unity of the party.

Narogo applauded the present administration on its initiative for the creation of the National Commission for the Disabled persons, which according to him has given the PWD a sense of belonging in the affairs of the nation.

“We are happy that persons with disability are now given special recognition, we now have a candidate from Sokoto State vying for the Senate seat and one other from a southern state gunning for the seat of the House of Representatives”. He disclosed.

While appreciating the Kano State Governor, Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje for paying WAEC/NECO fee of the children of the Disabled persons in the state, Narogo said his gesture has shown that they have leaders who care for the disabled persons in the society.

He called on all persons with disability in the country to get their PVCs as 2023 election is approaching to ensure that APC returns to power at all levels.
