Adamawa State gubernatorial hopeful and the governorship candidate of the All Blending Party, (ABP) Daniel Shaga Ismaila, said Nigeria is a blessed country and can afford to pay seventy five thousand naira minimum wage if the right people with the interest of the country are placed in power.

The candidate said popular political parties have entrenched a system of imposition designed to prevent honest and credible Nigerians from gaining political power and turning things around for Nigeria, and that the fight against corruption is a ruse that Nigerians must reject through the ballot.

Ismaila made the remarks Friday at a press conference in Yola, speaking of his decision to run for the governorship of Adamawa State.

He said that the relatively obscure All Blending Party was not a factor in his quest to become state governor, maintaining that Nigerians are enlightened enough to vote for the candidates of their choice regardless of political party.

“I am confident that if we commit the power and purpose embedded in our diversity to the faithful work of blending into one united people to rebuild the broken walls of our dear state, and to restore our humanity and lost glory, Adamawa State shall indeed be renewed and be fully restored to her former greatness within the shortest possible time,” Ismaila stated at the press conference.

“Governance at all levels is meant to serve the collective good, but if it fails to deliver on this cardinal objective, then it is not good governance and must be rejected by the people.”

He cautioned that Nigeria has taken the wrong path for too long and that the crop of leaders and politicians holding sway in the country’s politics are holding the country to ransom, and are incapable of achieving development and progress for the country.

The candidate said he is able to bring to an end the incessant killings in the northeastern state, in addition to stimulating economic and agricultural development in the country.
