The Nigerian Universities Commission » has now directed that medical students in the country will spend a total of 11 years in the
Professor Chiedu Mafiana who spoke on behalf of the commission’s Executive Secretary Professor Julius Okojie at the maiden matriculation and inauguration of the University
of Medical Science, Ondo State confirmed this development.
Mafiana broke down the duration of medical study, saying the first four years will be spent studying basic sciences in the university while
the next seven years will be spent at the medical school.
He added that this will adequately prepare them for the future.
