The remains of Mr. Ifeanyichukwu Raymond Eyisi, businessman and husband of Prof. Joy Eyisi, first female Deputy Vice Chancellor, National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN), will be buried on Thursday, November 24, 2022. Aged 65, he died in September from some undisclosed illness.

A burial programme signed by Rex Ifeanyichukw Eyisi for the family, shows that there will be service of songs on Wednesday, November 23, 2022. This will be followed by a funeral service at St. Jude’s Anglican Church, Adazi-Ani, Anaocha LGA, Anambra State and internment, on Thursday. The programme will be rounded off with an outing service on Sunday, November 27.

He is survived by two boys and one girl. They include Mr Noble Eyisi. One-time rusticated President of Students’ Union, Nnamdi Azikiwe University (UNIZIK), Awka, Anambra State, he had first class in Law and Politics at the University of Hull, United Kingdom, and distinction at master’s degree level at Anglia Ruskin University, Cambridge. His only daughter, Joy Eyisi, Junior, a budding writer, also had first class in English Language and Literature, at Covenant University, Ota, Ogun State.
